If you have an image that might be too large or too small, you can add it in a text element. This will allow you to size the image to a more manageable size.

If you are having a hard time finding where to change something on you site. For instance, if you have some text you are not sure where you first put it, or an email address. Many times you can put your store front in layout mode and then double click on the item you are trying find. This will often take you to the area in your store builder where the text or information is at and you can change it there. This doesn't always work on every page, but it does work on a lot of them. If all else fails, call customer support, they are really great at helping you.

Avail, Avail, Avail
Avail offers a toll free phone number, domain name email address which adds credibility to your business and incoming faxes. You can also set this up with your POP 3 email account.
All of this for 12.65 per month and if you use the phone piece (US only) .10 per minute.

Hmm, I'd say always use the "Help" button on every page, also "Merchant Services", and always call into customer support whenever you get stuck. I usually try to do things by myself to learn it, but when I get stuck I know that Customer Support will be able to help me out. If the person I get doesn't know the answer right off, they let me know they will find that for me.

Try using as much of your resources as possible and that includes calling into Customer Support to get any of the help you need.

Thank you!!

Today I learned that another way to add links is via a text element. You don't need to just use the link tab on the rith of the pages tab.
When adding a link in a text element you can put links in any of your text on any pages. You can link to certain products, or even to another one of your sites.
Links don't just have to be a www. They can be "look at this" etc.
If you have any questions on links, you can call customer service and they will help you. They helped me so much.

One way to get the word out about your page is to submit it to the various search engines. Here are some helpful links that I have found: http://www.google.com/addurl.html
http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request

Get Avail! It is a great program where you can manage you emails and voicemails all in one place. I love the fact that you dont have to have a fax machine to use the fax feature. It just scans the faxes and sends them to your email Go to www.myavail247.com and check it out! enter promo code 8042 to get the service for just 12.95 a month!

Today I learned how to move an object in preview mode. You just go to preview, check the box on the bottom of the window next to where it says layout. Then I can drag and drop my elements where ever I would like them.

I think most people don't know what all can go into a text element. It is completely customizable there. You can add pictures or edit you text just like you would din a word document! i recommend using the text element!

I found that adding a video element is easier than I thought. You can do a search on Google and find many sites that will tell you how to add html code to your site. Most are free and have simple instructions.

You can do lots of things with the color scheme when you use the scheme tab on the right of many pages and on the site tab. You can choose different schemes and then play with individual colors on this tab. It's a great way to individualize your site.

One tip I received from a storesonline support representative is to make sure and list the positive benefits of you site near the top of your page and also in that same area identify why your product will satisfy your customers.
